How was this fun + good vibes camper van rental business business born? It all started with a snap decision to buy a single Vancouver Island Westfalia camper van one very random day in May 2017.
It was love @ first sight!
Out of an initial personal love for the #vanlife, our company founder Lisa O bought herself a 1982 Volkswagen Westfalia Campervan on a total whim after spotting it sitting in Duncan, on the way to Victoria one day. Saw it one day, an had the dealership deliver it to her place the next.

She was in love… and so was everyone she showed it to.
She noticed a very distinct vibe surrounding these Westy’s… She discovered the smiles her little van generated as it rolled on by, and a true community feeling among other Westfalia drivers when cruising by.

Aside from fact these vans are the coolest campers to ever exist… simply, it just felt so good driving it, camping in it, just being near it … & she wanted to find a way to share that distinct feeling of freedom + happiness with others.
Within two weeks of owning her first VW camper van, justgo campervan rentals inc. was born… and a second van was purchased, this one we found online by Lisa’s daughter, Ella, right in Nanaimo… our 1972 Westfalia.

Just over one year later, there are now 6 Volkswagen vans as part of the westfalia camper van fleet here on Vancouver Island… & we are thrilled to be in the midst of an awesome and busy 2018 van rental Season.
Don’t get us wrong… creating and starting a Westfalia rental business of this nature has been incredibly hard work, frustrating at at times… but when we’re back behind the wheel, or see the smiles on the faces of fellow Vancouver Island Westy explorers, it’s easy to remember our ‘why’.
We love the open road.
We love nature.
We love freedom.
We love our Vancouver Island Westfalia camper van … s. 🚐💨
+ we want everyone to experience what the Vancouver Island #vanlife can feel like, if even for a few nights.
The potential is unlimited how far justgo… will go.
